February 2, 2011 -- Wednesday Wine Tasting

Learn about new wines, meet new people, have a group night out! For our regular monthly tasting, we try to choose a good variety of reasonably priced wines -- A taste treat for your palate and your pocketbook. We provide three whites and three reds for your tasting pleasure.
Cost is only $15 per person, and includes tasting, really good appetizers, printed tasting notes, special discounts on wines, and lots of fun. 6-7:30 pm. RSVP not required, but requested so we know how much food to prepare. 252-335-1163.

January 28, 2011 -- Donnie Denny

Donnie is the local fella who made the big time last year by being chosen as runner up in the Oprah Winfrey Karaoke Challenge. He doesn’t only sing karaoke, as you might imagine. He sings a wide variety of contemporary Christian songs, as well as country music. Since appearing on Oprah, he has travelled to Branson, Missouri, and is currently working on recording an album and completing a music video in Nashville. He just returned from performing at the fan focused Fanfare event.

January 14, 2011 -- Drew Sablon

A solo singer and songwriter from eastern North Carolina, Drew is a local favorite! In addition to his solo gigs, he has played with a variety of local bands (Trigger Finger, Audio Slide Show). Drew sings songs from multiple genres, including classic rock and roll from the 60s through the twenty-tens, with a heavy playlist from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. January 16, 2010 -- A Superwoman Handbook Book Reading

Gillian Hammond will read from her soon-to-be published book, "A Superwoman Handbook." The book is full of little snippets of wisdom and knowledge on how to balance work, social, and home life as a busy woman. Reading starts at 1:00 pm, seating begins at 12:30 pm.

January 7, 2011 -- Pairadocs

Dr. Tom Vinick has brought on a partner in his practice of music making! Dr. Wes Smith will be joining Tom on stage this Friday night at The City Wine Sellar. Together, they are known as Pairadocs (Get it? Pair of Docs?) and will diagnose and cure your musical malodies with melodies and pop tunes from the 40s through today.
