Wednesday Wine Tasting -- January 5, 2011

Learn about new wines, meet new people, have a group night out! For our regular monthly tasting, we try to choose a good variety of reasonably priced wines -- A taste treat for your palate and your pocketbook. We provide three whites and three reds for your tasting pleasure.
Cost is only $15 per person, and includes tasting, really good appetizers, printed tasting notes, special discounts on wines, and lots of fun. 6-7:30 pm. RSVP not required, but requested so we know how much food to prepare. 252-335-1163.

Thursday, December 23, 2010 -- Christmas Eve Eve Eve-ning Celebration

The Sellar Wine Bar will be open on Thursday evening for a fun night of music, singing, laughing, and visiting! Kelly Nolan will be keeping the gig lively with a mixture of 80s music and karaoke jive. Jump in on the jivin' with old friends and new ones for a good time before the holidays.

'Twas the Friday before Christmas Eve, and all through the house
People were whispering "The Hodgi's" coming, Wow, wow, wow!"
The preparations are being made, tables moved here and there
In hopes that Chuck and his friends soon would be here.
The wines are all nestled, the whites and the reds
The sandwiches are prepped, made with homemade breads.

He's a little bit country. He's a little bit rock 'n roll! More specifically, "progressive modern rock and alternative country." The result is a "bluesy-folksy, roots-rockish, guitar-centric sound." December 10, 2010 -- Nick Simmons

Enjoy the amazing talent of Nick Simmons, who will be playing in solo acoustic mode, this Friday night at City Wine Sellar. Nick is a natural musician. When he plays, you can just FEEL his love for music. As a solo entertainer, Nick tones down the "distortion and the volume and lets the music speak for itself." And it does. It truly does.
